The Powell & Pressburger film ' Black Narcissus'and a trip to India resulted in this series of works. The Nun hangings are based on the Thankas painted by Buddhist Monks, the faces of the nuns are captured in moments of ambiguous passion. The handbags are printed with priestly 'matinee idols' and Rosary prayers hidden behind
zippers & veils.
